The Council is responsible for developing and administrating the Technology Platform. It will oversee Vet+i and act to move the Platform forward.
The specific tasks will be:
- To ensure information sharing and coordination between all parties involved.
- To monitor the deadlines and objectives proposed by the Working Groups.
- To promote the synergy amongst the Working Groups.
- To encourage the participation in the Platform.
It is composed of members from all the relevant public and private sectors in the field of animal health:
Santiago de Andrés (Vet+i Chairman), from Veterindustria, representing the animal health industry.
Lucio Carbajo, from the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Maritime Affairs.
Javier López, from ASOPROVAC, representing the producers´organizations.
Carlos Franco, from the Center for the development of Industrial Technology (Ministry of Science and Innovation).
José Manuel Sánchez-Vizcaíno, from the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Madrid, representing the academia and the research community.
Juan José Badiola, from the Spanish Veterinary Organization, representing the veterinary profession.
Luis José Romero, from the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Maritime Affairs - WG1 Coordinator.
Manuel Lainez, from the National Institute of Agriculture and Food Research and Technology (Ministry of Science and Innovation) - WG2 Coordinator.
Ángel Urbano Llanos, from SYVA Laboratory -WG3 Coordinator.
